Counting sleeps: Lillian Bell can’t wait for the day she starts kindergarten at Regentville Public School. Picture: Gary WarrickJolana Bell doesn’t expect too many tears when daughter Lillian, 5, starts kindergarten at Regentville Public School on January 30.
The South Penrith resident said she was dreading watching her only child head in for her first day of school.
“Although I’m dreading the first day, Lillian is excited and is always asking me what day she gets to go off to big school,” Mrs Bell said.
“I don’t think there will be any tears until she realises I’m gone.
“However, I’m sure she is going to love her first day.
“She is looking forward to meeting friends and playing games, and she is already counting down the sleeps until she gets to go to big school.”
Lillian will have at least two friends joining her whom she is looking forward to seeing again.
She said she already had her school uniform ready and was looking forward to doing craft with her classmates.
Mrs Bell said on the kindergarten orientation day Lillian met some of her new classmates while the parents were being told what to expect of the 2015 school year.
