Horsham is 2-15 off seven overs at lunch in division two, so there is hopefor Grassmere, which is attempting to defend 129. Dan Oakley has both wickets.

1PM:Northern United making a comeback against Grassmere Colts in division three. Has recovered from 6-128 to be 7-182 in the closing stages.

12.40PM: ALL OUT!Grassmere will attempt to defend 129 in its division two clash against Horsham this afternoon. Chris Bant top scored with 61, Luke Ryan made 23.

10AM:Disaster early for Grassmere against Horsham at Weeroona Oval in division two. Captain Chris Bant won the toss and batted but the side is 1-3 off two overs. Murray Habel is the man out, bowled for a duck.

Grassmere Colts have lost the toss and are fielding against Northern United at Bagshot.

PRE-MATCH:Day three of Bendigo Country Week is upon us and Grassmere Cricket Association’s two squads are seeking to get their representative campaigns back on track.

Grassmere and Grassmere Colts suffered defeats yesterday to give away many of the gains from Monday, when they started the tournament in emphatic fashion.

Grassmere meets unbeaten Horsham at Weeroona Oval in division two. Underlining the size of the challenge is thatHorsham defeated Portland on Monday, while Grassmere lost heavily to Portland on Tuesday.

Grassmere Colts play Northern United at Bagshot in division three. Northern United also has a 1-1 record after two days.
